For about a week now I've been successfully limiting my alcohol intake to 2 drinks a day, defining a drink as a 5-oz glass of wine or a 12-oz bottle of beer. This was following a couple days with a 1-drink limit, against which my body immediately rebelled and drank itself to excess. That in turn had followed 3 days of no alcohol at all in order to stave off (successfully) a respiratory illness.

But I've had short term success limiting my drinking before, only to go back to overindulgence after some weeks. Let's just see where it goes. One day at a time, as the 12-steppers say.
